Between February 2009 and February 2010 members of the Alexandra Bowling & Social Club were busy fund-raising on behalf of the Trust. The club chose the Tom Prince Cancer Trust as their charity for the year and took on all sorts of fund-raising activities. Not only did they hold raffles, organise outings and have a collection bottle in the bar, they also made jam, sold plants and books, and used almost any opportunity to fund-raise.
 
The proceeds of their hard work were presented at a Ladies Night on Saturday 13th February 2010.
President, Aubrey Madgwick and his wife, Hayley, invited Peter and Maureen Prince from the Trust to accept a cheque for the sum of £3016.00. Peter and Maureen enjoyed the evening very much and were made extremely welcome by everyone at the club.
